Heather Behan is a licensed and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Long Island, New York. What services do you offer?
We specialize in psychiatric medication management via phone or telehealth. During sessions, we evaluate your symptoms, discuss treatment options, and adjust prescriptions as needed to support your mental health.
How do I book an appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled online through our Acuity Scheduling platform. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the necessary details.
Do I need to pay before my appointment?
Yes. Payment is required prior to your scheduled appointment. Our system will prompt you to pay at the time of booking. This helps reserve your time and allows us to focus fully on your care.
How do I pay for my appointment?
Payments are processed securely through Square, and an invoice is automatically generated. You’ll receive this invoice by email after booking your session.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we are a private pay practice and do not accept insurance. However, we can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that plans can change. You may cancel or reschedule your appointment using the link provided in your confirmation email. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
How are prescriptions handled?
Prescriptions are electronically sent through Practice Fusion, our secure e-prescribing platform. If you need a refill, please allow 48 hours for processing.
Is my information confidential?
Absolutely. All communications, health records, and prescriptions are handled securely and confidentially in accordance with HIPAA protocols.
